The tale

Mariposa means "butterfly" in Spanish. In mythology, it is associated with goddesses as well as stories of magic.

It also embodies a desire for discovery, adventure, and independence, in line with today's aspirations. Finally, the concept of limited-edition collections evokes short-lived capsules, much like the life cycle of a butterfly.

The birth of Maripoza

Since I was 16, I've dreamed of creating a lingerie brand. At the time, I knew the Victoria's Secret Angels by heart and spent hours imagining myself in a world of glitter, fashion and the stage.

I would have loved to go to fashion school, but life led me to business school. Looking back, it was a lucky break: I learned the basics there that allowed me to bring that dream to life.

Today, Maripoza is the culmination of this blend of passion, magic, and ambition.

Inspirations

Behind this first collection lie travels, exchanges, readings, and artistic discoveries. These are everyday elements that guide every choice, every detail.

After being seduced by the spectacular shows of Thierry Mugler, Maripoza follows the path of a positive art, a festive art that allows one to clear one's mind.

Our commitment

We are doing our best to carry out a project we are passionate about while taking into account the ecological and social impact. The prototypes were made in France by Jedid , while the first collection was made by a garment workshop in Morocco, certified by ICS .

The raw materials come from Greece and Turkey, and a Portuguese company manufactured the packaging. Finally, the fabrics used for the gussets are Oeko-Tex certified cotton, which is kind to both skin and the environment.
