Underwear, a look that allows you to be confident?

As early as 2022, Kendall Jenner was seen strolling around in a Bottega Veneta ensemble, complete with a sweater and skimpy briefs. Numerous other celebrities followed suit, stepping out in skimpy outfits. This uninhibited "no pants" fashion was also embraced by Bella Hadid, Hailey Bieber, and Victoria Beckham.

In summer 2024, the trend continues, and we're seeing a rather carefree style with XXL t-shirts that slightly cover your underwear. You see, the "no pants" look doesn't require your underwear to be visible. To pull it off, you just need to give the impression that you've forgotten your pants!

So, do you think that briefs will be the new trousers of the 2025 season?

The "no pants" trend isn't new. Jean Paul Gaultier and Chantal Thomass had already created lingerie sets specifically designed to leave the underwear visible. It first appeared in 1950 as clothing for dancers, then resurfaced in 1980 with the renewed popularity of aerobics. Wearing a bodysuit over tights has therefore been a part of our lives for quite some time.

In 2024, brands continue to embrace this trend, like Miu Miu with its mesh panties. The "no pants" fashion embodies a new form of sartorial freedom, where classic codes are redefined. While some prefer to keep their underwear hidden and reserved for their soulmate, others won't hesitate to go out in this totally confident look, celebrating self-assurance and a strong sense of style.

Maripoza is testing this trend in the streets of Paris, proving that even the most daring pieces can be worn with elegance and originality.
